CCJ Youth Fellowship
The Youth Organizing Fellowship is for local students interested in leading the movement for racial and economic justice in Collierville. Selected fellows will learn community organizing skills while gaining hands-on experience in voter engagement and minority history preservation. Engage and educate Collierville residents, particularly young/first-time voters and minority neighborhoods, in the weeks leading up to the 2024 election
Fellows through the course of several months will…
Gain a deep understanding of Collierville’s rich Black and Indigenous history and contribute to projects that preserve and uplift minority histories
Cultivate and practice grassroots organizing skills, including coalition building and power mapping
Build connections with and receive mentorship from seasoned Collierville-based community organizers
Design and execute their own passion project pertaining to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in Collierville
